Private Korçë, Pogradec & Lake Ohrid Tour — the Elegant Southeast

Albania's most refined city, the lake where the Romans built their road, and a UNESCO town across the border — the southeast loop almost no group tour runs.

From €275 per groupHotel pick-up in Tirana

Korçë is the surprise of the southeast: boulevards, beer, serenades and a beautifully restored bazaar. Combined with lakeside Pogradec and Ohrid (Macedonia) it becomes the most varied private day from Tirana.

How the day works

Pick-up around 8:00, then 2h15 southeast to Korçë: the rebuilt Old Bazaar, the Resurrection Cathedral, the medieval art museum if you like icons. Lunch in the bazaar area — Korçë's grills and its famous beer. Then 40 minutes down to Pogradec on Lake Ohrid: the promenade and the springs of Drilon. Optional crossing to Ohrid town (passports needed) for the lakefront and churches. Home by evening.

The Ohrid option: two countries, one lake

Lake Ohrid is split between Albania and North Macedonia. The Macedonian side — Ohrid town — is UNESCO-listed and 40 minutes from Pogradec. Bring passports and we add it; skip it and the day stays shorter and more relaxed. Your call, that is the private point.

When to go and how to book

All year — Korçë has real city life in every season (and a famous Christmas market). The lake is at its best April–October. Date and group size on WhatsApp.

Frequently asked questions

Do we need passports for Ohrid?

Only if you choose the Ohrid town extension across the border. Korçë and Pogradec need no documents beyond the usual.

Is this a good day for food lovers?

One of the best: Korçë is Albania's gourmet city — grills, lakror pie, local beer from the country's oldest brewery. Come hungry.

How is this different from the Ohrid group day trip?

The group trip (from €35) goes straight to Ohrid and back. Private adds Korçë and Pogradec, your timing, and lunch where locals eat.

Can we swim in Lake Ohrid?

In summer, yes — Pogradec has public beaches and the water is clean and cool. Build in an hour and tell your driver.
